Manifesto:
The dawn of the ‘Anthropocene’ Age clearly manifest through the impact of humanity on the planet namely climate change, depletion of biodiversity, shrinking natural landscape, ever present threat of the risk of extinction of many species with sea life, land animals and native flora.
Business as usual does not seem to be working very well in Australia as well global, often due to ignorance and a lack of evidence-based decision making.
It really calls for a new basis to inform decision makers with regards to design and planning of the built environment and the shaping of cities. A better process for better synthesizing knowledge and expertise could be employed to improve outcomes.
